Daimler Buses GmbH – Equal Participation of women and men in Leadership Positions

[01/03/2025] - The Act on Limited Liability Companies (GmbHG) stipulates that the Supervisory Board of Daimler Buses GmbH shall determine target figures for the proportion of women of the Supervisory Board and in management positions and deadlines for their achievement. For its part, the Management of Daimler Buses GmbH must set such target figures and deadlines for the two senior management levels subordinate to it.

Proportion of women on the Supervisory Board
In fulfillment of this legal obligation, on November 24, 2020, the Supervisory Board of Daimler Buses GmbH has adopted a resolution with regard to its own composition and set a target for the proportion of women on the Supervisory Board of 16.7% and a deadline of December 31, 2024 for achieving this goal. As of December 31, 2024, the proportion of women on the Supervisory Board of Daimler Buses GmbH was 25.0%.

Proportion of women in the Management
By resolution of November 24, 2020, the Supervisory Board also set a target figure for the proportion of women in the Management of Daimler Buses GmbH of 16.7% (while maintaining the target figure for the proportion of women set in the resolution of November 29, 2016 and a new deadline for achieving this goal by December 31, 2025. At the time, the Management of Daimler Buses GmbH consisted of six members, so it was intended that at least one woman should be represented in the Management. Following the reduction of the Management from six to five members in 2022, the intended percentage of women increased to 20%, while the absolute target remained the same. As of December 31, 2024, no woman was represented in the Management of Daimler Buses GmbH, resulting in a women’s proportion of 0% at this point in time. Despite efforts in promoting young talents, the gap towards achieving the target quota has not been closed so far due to the personal development steps of potential female candidates into other group companies.

Proportion of women in the first two management levels below the Management
By resolution of October 28, 2020, the Management of Daimler Buses GmbH has set a target of 20% for the proportion of women at both the first and second management levels below the Management and a deadline for achieving this as of December 31, 2025. As of December 31, 2024, the proportion of women in the first management level below the Management was 6.7% and the proportion of women in the second management level below the Management was 18.8%.
